Hello

I am an integrative child and adolescent counsellor, working with young people aged 3 to 18. My approach is flexible and tailored, drawing on a range of therapeutic modalities to meet the unique needs of each child or teenager. This allows me to adapt the way I work so that it best supports your child’s growth, wellbeing, and emotional expression.

My background as an artist helps me bring creativity into my sessions using painting, clay and collage where appropriate. As a trained level 3 Forest School Leader, I am able to extend this creativity into the natural environment for nature-based therapy work if appropriate.I am a registered member of BACP and abide by their ethical framework.

My Story

With over 20 years of experience working in schools, I have a deep and intuitive connection to children of all ages. My professional journey led me to pursue a Master’s in Integrative Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy at the Institute of Arts and Therapy in Education (IATE). Being integrative means I am able to draw on different therapeutic modalities to best suit my client. I feel the most important thing is connection and relationship. Here, creativity lies at the heart of my practice with younger clients, where I integrate therapeutic arts, such as sand tray, puppetry, clay, painting, and storytelling.

With Teens, although the arts may play a role, my aim is to create that safe space to talk and open up.

My experience spans a wide range of issues, including early childhood trauma, separation anxiety, anger, ASD related issues, and with EHCP processes.
